1. How often do Cub Scouts meet?

    Pack 48 meets weekly. Den meetings are held the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Tuesday of each month. A Pack meeting is held on the 4th Tuesday of the month. If there is a 5th Tuesday in a month, there is NO scouts. 

  1. Where does Pack 48 meet and when?

    Pack 48 meets at Zion Lutheran Church. The address is 47 Hanover street, Glen Rock, PA 17327. Park in the parking lot, then enter the church at the red door on Hanover street. All meetings begin at 7:00 pm, unless otherwise noted.

  1. What are dens?

    Dens are a group of approximately 4-8 boys in the same grade. The den names are as follows:
    Lion den – Kindergarten
    Tiger den – 1st graders
    Wolf den – 2nd graders
    Bear den – 3rd graders
    Webelo 1 den – 4th graders
    Webelo 2 den – 5th graders

  1. What is a DEN meeting?

    A Den meeting is when you meet with just your assigned den or group to work on activities. Sometimes there are activities to complete that are listed in your Cub Scout book. Sometimes you will go on outings as a den. The den leader will let you know in advance if you are meeting some place, other than the church building.

  1. What is a PACK meeting?

    A Pack meeting is when all the dens meet. Accomplishments are recognized and the boys see how they are part of a larger organization. A program or special activity may be planned. Often, snacks are brought to share.

  1. When do I wear a uniform?

    In Pack 48, we request uniforms to be worn during Pack meetings and outings. For a regular den meeting, uniforms do not need to be worn. (Unless your scout wants to! That is okay too!)

  1. What do new Cub Scouts pay to join?

    It depends what month the Cub Scout joins. The membership fee is prorated for the year. If one joins scouts in September, he will only pay for September – December.   1. Are there membership fees every year?

    Yes. $85.00 is due by November 1st for the following scouting year (January – December).

  1. Do I need to bring anything to Cub Scout meetings?

    Your Cub Scout book (provided by the Pack) and a good attitude!

  1. Do Cub Scouts go camping?

    Yes! Our Pack plans a fall, winter, and spring campout. In the summer, we attend summer camp at Camp Tuckahoe.

  1. What other activities do Cub Scouts do?

    Pack 48 likes to try many activities! We go hiking, biking, bowling, boating, fishing, etc.

  1. What if I miss a meeting?

    It is okay! Just contact your den leader to see if you need to make up something.
